This place, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors cool things. Camping at Lemiti Campground is always a delightful experience; Double Peaks can be made out from Sheep Lake. Sheep Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range. The high level of rainfall makes Sheep Lake a relatively wet location; the wettest month of the year is frequently December, that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The Cub Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Marion Creek. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Fish Lake Trail; camping is available at Trout Lake Campground. This lake is so wonderful. This is a great neighborhood for folks who like lakes. some skiing at Hoodoo. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Collawash River, and you're probably keen on lakes, Fork Lake is one of those close by. So much cool stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. Sheep
Lake is right by the Wolf Spring Trail; Cornpatch Meadow is a swamp in the vicinity of Sheep Lake. During the summer months highs here at Sheep Lake get into the 70's, and the overnight is fairly colder of course, frequently in the
50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows at Sheep Lake through the winter typically drop into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.

 | Roundtrip Distance 13.7 miles Elevation Gain 2,348 ft. This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not.
