do around Shag Lake; Cannon Beach Trail is a fine local trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Shag Lake has to offer, you can camp at Fort Stevens State Park. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here
at Shag Lake that you need to camp here for a while, K O A Kampgrounds is a tremendous site for that; you'll perhaps meet some people from Astoria here. Man, is there heaps of amusing stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. Looking for
some flowing water? Try Alder Creek, needless to say you could also stop at Long Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. After a long day outdoors Best Western Astoria Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two.

Driftwood RV Park
 | 12 miles away ...Park is located on the Long Beach peninsula at the mouth of the Columbia river. The Park is 2. 2 acres with 56 sites on it. All sites are grass, tables at each site, full hook-up with cable and Wi-Fi available. We are 2. 5 blocks from the beach and 14 blocks from downtown. We have showers, laundry, and a meeting hall available to groups. Our Park is perpendicular to the highway so most sites are well away from the road.
