After a long day outdoors Best Western Lincoln Inn is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two, and if you came for an overnight stay Fort Stevens State Park is a magnificent site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at       Red Lion Inn Astoria, and swamps are interesting places and Brallier Swamp near Shag Lake is no exception. Shag Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Shag Lake. Near Shag Lake you discover a golf course called Astoria Golf & Country Club, naturally you could also pop by Creep and Crawl Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Shag Lake regularly gets a great deal of rainfall;                  during the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July is when it's the driest. Summertime at Shag Lake comes with high temperatures in the 60's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. Through the winter the highs are generally in the 40's with temperatures at Shag Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Shag Lake is right by the Cannon Beach Trail, and if time allows, Fort Clatsop National Memorial is a national park worth stopping at. Having a good time in the Coast Ranges is uncomplicated. K O A Kampgrounds is a great local campground; why not take a little journey to Alder Creek since you're here.
