If you are traveling by, why not stop by Seaside Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Seaside is a good site to spend a night or two, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Seaside Golf Course. Seaside Reservoir is a wet spot that gets lots of precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is July.

| | by nearby Chapman Ponds; Seaside Reservoir is a wonderful spot to camp, Klootchie Creek Campground is a wonderful spot. This lake is so wonderful. One of the best things about Seaside Reservoir is its proximity to Sunset Beach; there's whitewater on Nehalem River for all you adrenaline people. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful.

and Fort Clatsop National Memorial is a great national park. And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining things to do in the Coast Ranges. The top of Rippet Mountain is easily spotted from Seaside Reservoir, and you'll
meet a lot of folks from Astoria here. Spend the day on the beach at Chapman Beach while you're here at Seaside Reservoir, and why not a little side visit to Beerman Creek.
Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more
exciting stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges. Sams Resort is a good campground here, and there's brilliant hiking along the Cannon Beach Trail. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Seaside Reservoir temperatures are commonly
in the 60's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 40's. All through the wintertime highs are usually in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Seaside Reservoir.
