Scout Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; during November this area sees the most rain while July is usually the driest month. Man, is there lots of cool things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Take a side visit to Billy Creek, and get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of Willamette River - North Fork of Middle Fork. Scout Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a       stunning outdoors paradise. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Willamette Pass, and if you came to camp Oakridge Mobile Home Park is a pleasant place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. The Shitepoke Trail is a tremendous hiking trail near Scout Lake, and do pop by Huckleberry Lake, it's a wonderful lake. There's so much to do here at Scout Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Oakridge RV Park                  is a nice site for that, and you'll stumble on a stunning lake called Memaloose Lake. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too pleasant to be true. If the weather is wonderful here at Scout Lake, you can go for a hike along the Cain Cabin Trail; after a long day outdoors Best Western Oakridge Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two. For the duration of the days of summer at Scout Lake highs are frequently in the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Scout Lake temperatures drop to the 30's.
