Scout Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. Glide down the rapids of Rock Creek in a kayak, and Cedar Ridge is a good local campground. Yeah, come here to Scout Lake for a tremendous time. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Longview. High temperatures at Scout Lake throughout the long summer days are in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Through the winter       highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Scout Lake. Longview Travelodge is a glorious site to get some rest, and Windy Mountain is painless to spot from Scout Lake. Scout Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of rain; December is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the driest. All year is a good time in the Coast Ranges if you go for the outdoors. Visit Langfeld Creek since you're here at Scout Lake,                  and get drenched paddling on Nehalem River. This lake is so wonderful.
