This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Crabtree Creek; there are plenty of folks from Salem here. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn & Suites is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and you can stay the night       at Silver Falls Conference Center. Schumacher Reservoir is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, Silver Spur RV Park is a perfect location to camp nearby, and not far from Schumacher Reservoir you'll stumble on Lackner Pond which is a pretty lake. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Schumacher Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in                  the 40's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Schumacher Reservoir temperatures drop to the 30's. For you golfers we recommend nearby Santiam Golf Club. Schumacher Reservoir gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is July. And if that's not sufficient, there's loads more to do in the neighborhood of Schumacher Reservoir.
