If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Blue Mountains. Camping at Rock Springs Campground is always a good experience; Scheckels Dam is scenic. Scheckels Reservoir is right by the Fawn Spring Trail, and if you get bored of Scheckels Reservoir you could also visit nearby Stekel Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Scheckels Reservoir is not the                  only location nearby, Charlie Smith Reservoir is a nearby lake; Best Western John Day Inn is a wonderful place to get some rest. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is plentiful here in the Blue Mountains. Take a side journey to Flat Creek, and a tremendous location to camp here at Scheckels Reservoir is Ray Cole Campground. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time.
