Do stop by Sams Ponds while you're in this part of Oregon. This site, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Good hiking is available along the High Camp Trail, and Clackamas River - South Fork is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Sams Ponds; East Mountain Trail is a magnificent local trail. High temperatures at Sams Ponds through the summertime are in the 80's with

| | nighttime lows in the 50's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's; night lows in the 30's for Sams Ponds.
So much entertaining stuff to do here at Sams Ponds, too splendid to be true. For you golfers we recommend nearby Springwater Golf Course; if you need a location to stay Best Western Sandy Inn is a good choice. you can always go whitewater paddling on Eagle Creek. The Cold Spring Trail offers hiking at its best; probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, North Fork Reservoir is just a very short distance away.
This lake is so wonderful.
A tremendous site to camp here at Sams Ponds is Northwest Land Management; needless to say, this is a great neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Small Fry Lake is a lake close by. Sams Ponds is one of the lakes here in the Central
Cascade Range. The high level of rainfall makes Sams Ponds a relatively wet spot; December is the wettest month with most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.
So many amusing things to do in the Central Cascade
Range, not sufficient time. Why not take a look at North Fork Dam while you're here, and Howard Johnson Gresham is a glorious place to get some rest.
