Some close by water includes Boulder Creek, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Williams Creek Trail. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. A lake nearby is Cultus Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Shadow Falls Campground is a magnificent location to camp. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more amusing things to       do here in the Southern Cascade Range. After a long day outdoors Best Western Canyonville Inn & Suites is a fine place to spend a night or two. Glide down the rapids of Umpqua River - South in a kayak, and do take a hike on the Straight Creek Trail. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more exciting stuff to do in the Southern Cascade Range. Get covered with water paddling on Rock Creek, and Sampson Lake is right by the White Rock Trail. At Sampson Lake                  all through the warm months highs are in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Sampson Lake. The high level of rainfall makes Sampson Lake a pretty wet place; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
