Many people like to go to Salmon Lake. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever want to return home again. Go for a hike on the Hambone Trail, and Salmon Lake is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Hambone Springs Campground is a nice location to camp nearby. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Salmon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Frazier Fork Campground, naturally you could also visit Plaza Lake since

| | you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl, and if you need a place to stay Resort at the Mountain is a tremendous choice. This lake is so wonderful. Cougar Creek is a tremendous place to go to, and in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Lower Rock Lake is just a very short distance away. if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy River. After a long day outdoors Whispering Woods (Vri) is a great location to spend a night or two. Be careful coming to Salmon Lake,
you might not ever wanna go back home again. Don't leave Salmon Lake without first going for a hike along the Bonanza Trail; on a pretty day you get a wonderful sight of Salmon Butte from Salmon Lake. That right there is a lot of
amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Central Cascade Range has it all. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Timberline Lodge if you're here, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Clackamas River - Oak
Grove Fork. At Salmon Lake throughout the long summer days highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at
Salmon Lake dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range. Salmon Lake is a relatively wet place usually with a good deal of precipitation; throughout December this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is July.
