Salamander Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Illinois River, and Valen Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. Through the summertime months, highs usually are in the 70's at Salamander Lake; the nighttime is a little colder of course, regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Salamander Lake throughout the wintertime mostly plunge

| | into the 30's. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Coast Ranges has to offer. Salamander Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Meadow Creek Campground is a fine place to camp nearby, and the Chetco Peak Trail offers hiking at its best.

along the Upper Chetco Trail. Best Western Beachfront Inn is a delightful place to get some rest, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Illinois River Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Alfred A. Loeb, and
Dry Butte can be made out from Salamander Lake.
Having a pleasant time in the Coast Ranges is uncomplicated. Salamander Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. All the water falling down from the sky makes Salamander Lake a wet location; most of the rain falls all through December, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
