     Ryan Lake is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at McNary Golf Club. For the duration of the summertime highs here at Ryan Lake reach the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Ryan Lake drop into the 30's. Ryan Lake ordinarily gets lots of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently December,  
   that's the one that rains the most while July is generally the driest month.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Deep Lake, and after a long day outdoors Wittenberg Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Ryan Lake has to offer, you can camp at Shelburne Farms Camp. Lakes? Sure, Hubbard Lake is around here. This lake is so wonderful. Very tremendous water scenery is available at Wheatland Dam in the neighborhood of Ryan Lake. There's so much to do here at Ryan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort is a magnificent place for that. And that's not all you can do here at Ryan Lake. Don't miss out on a delightful swamp; Eldriedge Slough is right here at Ryan Lake; while you're here, you could check out Patterson Creek. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Salem, and you'll in all probability meet some folks from Salem here.

Rich in history, the grounds boast an 1891 building called the Tabernacle. The Tabernacle seats over 1,200 people. The construction is authentic post and beam with soaring rafters and an occasional bird flying through. The tabernacle is also available for rent. Rustic cabins are available to rent as well as rooms in another historic building known as Centennial Lodge. Centennial is a two story building with old style hotel rooms and shared restrooms on each floor. Jubilee Lodge was built in the late sixties and has a large dining/meeting room, complete kitchen as well as dormitories that are all available to rent. Two restroom/shower houses are available for use.

Don't Go all the way to wilsonville for a hotel. if you head in towards portland on the 26, there are plenty of hotels from government camp to welches. Personally if you're going to a lake in the mountains you should be CAMPING. And there are plenty of sites to do so, both reserved and not. There are great hiking trails and it's also full of fish and crawdads. Boating is a must if possible....
