A round       of golf at nearby Quail Valley Golf Course is a good way to kill some time, and a great spot to camp here at Rufener Reservoir is Washington County Fair Grounds. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Coast Ranges will keep you coming back time and again. So much cool stuff close to Rufener Reservoir, simply astonishing. Paddling on Nehalem River is so much fun, and drift down the rapids of Rock Creek in a kayak. After a long day outdoors Best Western University                  Inn is a great site to spend a night or two, and needless to say Bausch Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth stopping at. Summertime highs at Rufener Reservoir typically tend to be in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Rufener Reservoir temperatures drop to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
