And that's not all there is to do here in the Central Cascade Range. If you need a place to stay Whispering Woods (Vri) is a good choice, and you can go for a hike on the Round Lake Trail. For the period of the summer at Round Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the       winter at Round Lake temperatures dip to the 30's. So much cool stuff to do at Round Lake, so little time. Stay the night at Frazier Turnaround Campground, and Hawk Mountain can be distinguished from Round Lake. Lemiti Campground is a nice campground nearby, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Round Lake; Scorpion Mountain Trail is a pleasant local trail. A wonderful location like Fawn Meadow here at Round Lake is too glorious to miss, and soar down                  the rapids of Clackamas River in a kayak. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Paddling on Collawash River is so much fun. All the water falling down from the sky makes Round Lake a wet site; during December this area sees the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
