     This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. The summit of Rosebud Mountain can be spotted from Rosebud Helipond. Summertime highs at Rosebud Helipond usually tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Rosebud Helipond.

   at Rosebud Helipond you can take a hike along the Brown Mountain Trail, and Keene Creek is near Rosebud Helipond and is always a diversion to have a look at. This is a great vicinity for folks who like lakes. Oregon Gulch Reservoir Number One is a lake in the vicinity; if you come at the right time of year, Klamath River offers some delightful whitewater. All the outdoors fun things in the Southern Cascade Range will keep you coming back time and again. Camping  
               is available at Camp Creek Campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Jenny Creek.
On a splendid day at Rosebud Helipond you can take a hike along the Bieberstedt Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Rosebud Reservoir. Just can't get enough of Rosebud Helipond. A fine close by hotel is Windmill Inn And Suites Of Ashland, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Soda Spring. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Hyatt Lake Campground is a great site to camp, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Mosquito Fish Lake Trail.
Around Rosebud Helipond you don’t get a lot of precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Lithia Springs Resort And Gardens is a good choice; a great location to take a look at is Oregon Gulch.

You have got to be kidding. IV-V+???!!!!!! Has someone really run the falls? You make it sound like a like just any old run. It can only be run at the few times there is enough water and for a large part of the run, barb wire, willow thickets in the channel and recluses with shotguns are the main obstacles. Only the last few miles has whitewater of note and it is challenging. I ran this section in the mid eighties and claim along with my buddies Kent Erskine and Max Linn a first descent....

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
