Ridgetop Pond is usually a relatively dried up place; throughout November this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Ridgetop Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Emigrant State Park is a great local campground, unsurprisingly you could also visit Nunamaker Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. Summertime highs at Ridgetop Pond mostly tend to be in the 80's; the nighttime is a little chillier of course, generally

| | in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Ridgetop Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Ridgetop Pond; Evans Trail is a brilliant local trail, and if you came to camp Grandview Campground is a nice place to do that. Grande Ronde River offers some fine whitewater. All year is a good time in the Blue Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Butcher Knife Spring; probably you're looking for
nearby lakes? Sure, Long Pond is just a very short distance away. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Ridgetop Pond without first going for a hike along the Five
Points Trail, and people from La Grande love to come here. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Blue Mountains. At Ridgetop Pond you can make out Owsley Hogback, and Rodeway Inn La Grande is a pleasant spot to get some
rest. Any time is a fine time at Ridgetop Pond if you fancy the outdoors. There's pleasant hiking along the Summit Mount Emily Trail, and there are some good whitewater spots on Grande Ronde River.

Spout Springs
 | 21 miles away 9 PHOTOS ...out Springs opened in 1927 and was first known as the Blue Mountain Ski Club. Pete and Esther Eyraud were the first owners. Pete was the second President of Pacific Northwest Ski Instructors Association and was instrumental in bringing the first French ski instructors to the northwest ski areas. Its name is derived from the numerous natural springs that are found throughout the region. There are three springs on the resort's property. Spout Springs has 2 double chair lifts, a 21 KM cross country trail system, night skiing (the entire area is lighted), and one of the states few free tubing hills. In the late 60's, Spout Springs was the Nordic training center for the United States Olympic team and the Norwegian jump team. Spout Springs flies the Olympic Flag for this distinction.
