There is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Rickman Reservoir called the Buck Cabin Trail, and some nearby water includes Alsup Creek. It is very dried up here at Rickman Reservoir frequently; November is the month that gets the most rain, and September on the other hand is the driest. Rickman Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Blue Mountains. High temperatures at Rickman Reservoir       through the warm months are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Rickman Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. On a good day at Rickman Reservoir you can take a hike along the Utley Creek Trail, and after a long day outdoors Americas Best Inns-Burns is a good location to spend a night or two. If you want a pleasant                  time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Blue Mountains. But wait, there's more to do next to Rickman Reservoir. This is a perfect region for folks who like lakes. Chappel Gulch Reservoir is a lake nearby, and Rickman Reservoir is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, The Timbers Inn and RV Park is a pleasant local campground. The Beaverdam Trail is a nice hiking trail in close proximity to Rickman Reservoir, and Chappel Gulch is also a pleasant site to discover.
