     Fanno Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out, and the good people of Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton like to hang out close by. From a rainfall point of view Richter Pond is a relatively typical site; December is when you get the most rain here while July is typically the driest month. Summertime highs at Richter Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the  
   40's while the cold winter nights at Richter Pond are in the 30's. Stay the night at Pheasant Ridge RV Park, and while you're here and you like golf, you can explore Summerfield Civic Golf Course.

Don't Go all the way to wilsonville for a hotel. if you head in towards portland on the 26, there are plenty of hotels from government camp to welches. Personally if you're going to a lake in the mountains you should be CAMPING. And there are plenty of sites to do so, both reserved and not. There are great hiking trails and it's also full of fish and crawdads. Boating is a must if possible....

Sturgeon Lake is a GREAT place to fish at on Sauvie Island. For exsample, There are WARM WATER SPECIES like: CATFISH, BASS, PANFISH, PERCH, WALLEYE & LOT MORE! There are COLD WATER SPECIES in the lake too, like: Trout. It is VERY BEAUTIFUL ESPECALLY IN FALL....
