This is a popular place for people from Longview-Kelso; Best Western Oak Meadows Inn is a brilliant location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kalama River, and you need to stop at Martin Bluff while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Deer Island Point is near Resting Lake and is a brilliant place to visit, and why not take a       little trip to Adams Creek if you're here. Whitewater paddling is great on Goble Creek, and a lake nearby is Oak Ridge Lake. Lots of precipitation falls at Resting Lake; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. Don't leave Resting Lake without first going for a hike along the Georges Peak Trail. There's so much to do here at Resting Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Louis L Rasmussen                  RV Park is a good place for that, and a delightful beach nearby is Goble Beach. So many amusing things near Resting Lake, simply extraordinary. If you get bored of Resting Lake, you could also explore nearby Thorn Lake; if you need a site to stay Kalama River Inn is a great choice. High temperatures at Resting Lake through the summer months are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's with temperatures at Resting Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights.
