If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Siskiyou Mountains. A magnificent close by hotel is Ashland Springs Hotel, and lots of people from Medford come here. There are some good whitewater spots on Klamath River, and East Fork Ashland Creek is near Reeder Reservoir and is always a delight to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Mount Ashland Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and if you've had enough of Reeder

| | Reservoir, Granite Street Reservoir is nearby. You get a good panorama of Ropers Bunion from Reeder Reservoir, and camping at Jackson wellsprings is always a splendid experience. So many entertaining things to do in the Siskiyou Mountains, not enough time. During the long summer days at Reeder Reservoir highs are regularly in the 90's. the winter for Reeder Reservoir tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Reeder Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Bear Creek Trail; while you're here why not visit Jemmison Gulch. It is very
dried out here at Reeder Reservoir ordinarily; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is July. Any time is a perfect time at Reeder Reservoir if you like the outdoors. You don’t have
to go far from Reeder Reservoir to see the water at Reeder Gulch Dam; there are perfect spots to discover along the Copper Trail. Reeder Reservoir is located in the Siskiyou Mountains. If you came to camp US Forestry Department
is a good place to do that, and Ashland Motel is a perfect location to get some rest. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Reeder Reservoir. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Oak Knoll Golf Club is
in close proximity; Reeder Reservoir is not the only spot close by, Lower Reservoir is a close by lake. This spot, the Siskiyou Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things. Mt. Ashland is a very popular ski area nearby; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Shasta River.

Mt. Ashland
 | 3 PHOTOS If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
