The warmest time of the year at Reed Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 30's with temperatures at Reed Reservoir dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. That right there is plenty of exciting things already but it goes on, the Blue Mountains       has it all. Baldy Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Reed Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Little Summit Campground. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Blue Mountains. Everybody loves Potter Meadows. This lake is so wonderful. The Coffeepot Trail is a perfect hiking trail close to Reed Reservoir; Scab Reservoir is a nearby                  lake that you could check out. This place is peerless, just check out all the cool things to do near Reed Reservoir. Don't leave Reed Reservoir without first paying a visit to Aqua Spring, and if you get bored of Reed Reservoir you could also have a look at nearby Sugar Creek Reservoir. A spree to John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is worthwhile, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Owl Creek Trail. Reed Reservoir gets very little rain; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while September is typically the driest month. There is a great hiking trail near Reed Reservoir called the Black Canyon Trail.
