pretty high levels of rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here; July on the other hand is the driest. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Hood River - West Fork, and if you're stopping by from Hood River, you won't be the only one. Looking for some flowing water? Try Gate Creek; the top of Green Point Mountain is easily observed from
               Rainy Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 23, and after a long day outdoors Bridge of The Gods Motel & Rv is a good site to spend a night or two. Through the summer highs here at Rainy Lake get into the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Rainy Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range.
This lake is so wonderful. Cooper Spur is a very popular ski area nearby, and hiking along the Herman Creek Trail is good fun. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Rainy Lake. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Hood River - Lake Branch, and do take a hike on the Wyeth Trail.
