The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Rainbow Lake tend to be in the 30's. Rainbow Lake is a beautiful lake in the Coast Ranges. These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in the Coast Ranges. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's       for you then we recommend Yamhill River - South. So many exciting things to do at Rainbow Lake, so little time. The top of Slide Mountain is easily observed from Rainbow Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Americas Best Value Inn and Suites McMinnville is a brilliant choice. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Coast Ranges. Camping is available at Mulkey RV Park; if you come at the right time of year, Mill Creek offers                  some brilliant whitewater. Carlton Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Baker Creek Falls. All the water falling down from the sky makes Rainbow Lake a wet site; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Vineyard Inn Motel, and while you're here, you could also stop by striking Von Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
