Paddling on Molalla River is so much fun; don't leave Rainbow End Lake without first checking out Phantom Bluff. Get dripping wet paddling on Clackamas River, and a tremendous close by hotel is Hospitality Inn. But wait, there's more to do close to Rainbow End Lake. The summit of Cooks Butte can be seen from Rainbow End Lake, and some nearby water includes Athey Creek. All through the warm months here at Rainbow End Lake, high temperatures generally get into

| | the 80's with night lows in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Rainbow End Lake are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend nearby Lake Oswego Golf Course; taking a little spree to nearby Blue Heron Bay is a pleasant idea. If you came to camp R V Park Of Portland is a great site to do that, and the wonderful folks of Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton like to hang out close by. | |

After a long day outdoors I-5 Value Inn is a delightful place to spend a night or two; there are other locations here than Rainbow End Lake, for example Schaber Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Rainbow
End Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Trailer Park Of Portland is a pleasant location for that; lakes are such peaceful spots, why not explore Lake Oswego. The amount of rain that falls at Rainbow End Lake is close to the national average; December is the wettest month with most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest.

 | Don't Go all the way to wilsonville for a hotel. if you head in towards portland on the 26, there are plenty of hotels from government camp to welches. Personally if you're going to a lake in the mountains you should be CAMPING. And there are plenty of sites to do so, both reserved and not. There are great hiking trails and it's also full of fish and crawdads. Boating is a must if possible.... |
