So much exciting stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges, too splendid to be true. After a long day outdoors Best Western University Inn is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two, and if you come at the right time of year, Rock Creek offers some magnificent whitewater. All year is a nice time in the Coast Ranges if you love the outdoors. Rails End Reservoir is a beautiful lake       in the Coast Ranges. That right there is plenty already, but it carries on; Rails End Reservoir has it all. Glide down the rapids of Nehalem River in a kayak; you might also want to pay a visit to Big Canyon while you're here at Rails End Reservoir. A great deal of precipitation falls at Rails End Reservoir; most of the rain falls through December, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Washington                  County Fair Grounds is a good place to do that, and if you're here you can play some golf at Quail Valley Golf Course. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Shipley Springs; Best Value Inn And Suites - Forest Grove/Hillsboro is a good location to get some rest. Lakes are tremendous; Bateman Reservoir is a lake that's near Rails End Reservoir, and camping at Big Eddy County Park is always a splendid experience. During the summer at Rails End Reservoir highs are ordinarily in the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
