Powell Reservoir is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Deschutes River State Recreation Area is a pleasant local campground, and a lake close by is Buether Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Negro Ridge can be made out from Powell Reservoir, and Powell Reservoir is not the only place close by, Borstel       Pond is a close by lake. Around Powell Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; July on the other hand is the driest.
