    Do stop by The Potholes while you're in this part of Oregon. You're probably hooked on lakes, Lost Creek Reservoir is one of those close by; don't leave The Potholes without first paying a visit to Elk Spring. All through the days of summer here at The Potholes, high temperatures commonly get into the 90's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 40's. During the winter highs are typically in the 40's, and overnight lows at The Potholes during the wintertime  
   generally fall into the 20's. The Potholes is located in the Blue Mountains.
All year is a good time in the Blue Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Go for a hike on the High Trail, and you have to positively dedicate some time to Grasshopper Flat since you're here at The Potholes. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are really abundant here at The Potholes. The Timbers Inn and RV Park is a great campground nearby; if you've had enough of The Potholes, Chappel
 
               Gulch Reservoir is nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Near The Potholes you locate the Beaverdam Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail; The Potholes is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Mt Vernon Motel and Trailer Park is a nice location to camp nearby. Not much precipitation falls here at The Potholes; the month with most of the rain is November, and July meanwhile is the driest month. So much fun stuff to do here in the Blue Mountains, too splendid to be true. Going for a hike on the Buck Cabin Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and after a long day outdoors Best Western John Day Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two.
