     The Potholes truly is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Hiking is a popular thing to do around The Potholes; High Trail is a great local trail. There's so much to do here at The Potholes that you need to camp here for a while, The Timbers Inn and RV Park is a tremendous spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. There's magnificent hiking along the Buck Cabin Trail, and if you came to camp Mt Vernon Motel and Trailer Park is a wonderful spot to  
   do that. All the outdoors amusing things in the Blue Mountains will keep you coming back again and again.
This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Mountains. Grasshopper Flat is a splendid spot, and The Potholes is not the only site nearby, Lost Creek Reservoir is a nearby lake. A short trip to Elk Spring is always worthwhile, and brilliant hiking is available along the Beaverdam Trail.

               the days of summer here at The Potholes, high temperatures regularly get into the 90's while night lows are commonly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and night lows at The Potholes through the winter mostly descend into the 20's. The Potholes gets very little rainfall; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; July is when it's the driest. A lake close by is Chappel Gulch Reservoir; after a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn is a brilliant place to spend a night or two.
