There's so much to do here at Porter Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Oakvilla Mobile Home Park is a nice site for that. Riser Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and if you need a site to stay Rodeway Inn Willamette River is a brilliant choice. The high level of rainfall makes Porter Lake a pretty wet place; all through December this area sees the most rain,       and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A nice place for whitewater paddling near Porter Lake is Marys River. This lake is so wonderful. Winkle Butte is clearly visible from Porter Lake, and Super 8 Corvallis is a great place to get some rest. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff right next door to Porter Lake. You can run the rapids of Willamette River right next door to Porter Lake, and if you came to camp Carter                  Lake - Siuslaw National Forest is a wonderful place to do that. Through the warmest time of the year at Porter Lake highs are generally in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Porter Lake are in the 30's. Porter Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges. A lake close by is Whitaker Lake, and on a splendid day you can go to Clark Slough, a swamp near Porter Lake. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Coast Ranges is peerless!
