    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Oregon you can check out Porcupine Reservoir. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Jenny Creek, and Porcupine Reservoir is right by the Copper Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Lithia Springs Resort And Gardens is a magnificent site to spend a night or two. Lakes? Sure, Barrats Reservoir is in the neighborhood. Collins Spring is a wonderful site to explore  
   while you're at Porcupine Reservoir, and do have a look at Spring Creek if you're here at Porcupine Reservoir.
Porcupine Reservoir is typically a reasonably dehydrated place; during the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's so much to do here at Porcupine Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Glenyan Campground Of Ashland is a good place for that, and there
 
               are other spots here than Porcupine Reservoir, for example Emigrant Lake. All through the summer highs here at Porcupine Reservoir reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Porcupine Reservoir temperatures drop to the 20's.
This place, the Southern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. The Bear Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can hit the slopes at Mt. Ashland nearby. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Porcupine Reservoir rules!. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Southern Cascade Range. At Porcupine Reservoir you can catch a glimpse of Porcupine Mountain; there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Shasta River. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Camp Creek Campground is a great site to do that, and do take a hike on the Mount Ashland Trail.

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere. You have got to be kidding. IV-V+???!!!!!! Has someone really run the falls? You make it sound like a like just any old run. It can only be run at the few times there is enough water and for a large part of the run, barb wire, willow thickets in the channel and recluses with shotguns are the main obstacles. Only the last few miles has whitewater of note and it is challenging. I ran this section in the mid eighties and claim along with my buddies Kent Erskine and Max Linn a first descent....
