This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Pondosa Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Union Creek Campground is a delightful location for that, and as expected Bazine Creek flows through this vicinity. This place, the Wallowa Mountains,       has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Sunridge Inn, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Salt Trail. Man, is there a load of amusing stuff to do near Pondosa Pond. Hiking along the West Eagle Trail is wonderful fun; magnificent skiing awaits you at Anthony Lakes. At Pondosa Pond you don’t see much rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.                  This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Wirth Reservoir is near Pondosa Pond, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Baker City is a delightful place to spend a night or two. This lake is located in the wonderful Wallowa Mountains. So many cool things to do in the Wallowa Mountains, not sufficient time. Why not stop at Wirth Dam while you're here; Medical Hot Spring is always fun to check out. For the duration of the warmest time of the year here at Pondosa Pond, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. All through the winter the highs are typically in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Pondosa Pond sink into the 20's.
