Platt 1 Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. The scenery at Denley Brothers Dam near Platt 1 Reservoir is pretty, and paddling on Rock Creek is so much fun. This place, the Coast Ranges, has so much outdoors entertaining things. There's so much to do here at Platt 1 Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Oak       Hills Recreational Vehicle Park is a magnificent place for that, and lots of people from Roseburg come here. This lake is so wonderful. A fine location to pop by near Platt 1 Reservoir is Fraser Canyon, and if you came to camp Hi-way Haven RV Park is a great place to do that. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Umpqua River - North, and after a long day outdoors Microtel Sutherlin is a perfect site to spend a night or two. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll                  like Platt 1 Reservoir. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Denley Reservoir; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Hartford Lodge. So many amusing things to do in the Coast Ranges, not enough time. Lakes? Sure, Cooper Creek Reservoir is close by; an afternoon playing golf at Oak Hills Golf Club is always a delight. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Platt 1 Reservoir. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's.
