Swede Creek is right next door to Pika Lake and is always a delight to visit; Tombstone Prairie Campground is a tremendous local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Marion Creek offers some great whitewater, and there's wonderful hiking along the Duffy Lake Trail. This lake is       so wonderful. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Hoodoo. The high level of rainfall makes Pika Lake a reasonably wet site; the wettest month of the year is usually December, that's the one that rains the most while July is commonly the driest month. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Santiam River - North, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Pika Lake; Lava Trail is a brilliant local trail. Fir Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore;                  if you need a location to stay Lodge at Suttle Lake is a tremendous choice. Pika Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade Range. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back time and again. A lake nearby is Fay Lake; there are swamps here too, Big Meadows is in the neighborhood. Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a tremendous time. Don't leave Pika Lake without first going for a hike along the Turpentine Peak Trail, and Country Star Recreational Vehicle Park is a glorious campground nearby. For the period of the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 70's at Pika Lake. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's.
