If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Central Cascade Range. Klovdahl Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth checking out; a visit to Photo Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Lillian Falls. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Shelter Cove Resort is a great place to camp, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Oakridge Inn is a splendid choice. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here

You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Photo Lake. There is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Photo Lake called the Salmon Creek Trail, and Klovdahl Bay is very near and is a nice place to explore. wet spot; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. Get yourself into a kayak and hit McKenzie River - South Fork, and Photo Lake is not the only site close by, Fig
Lake is a close by lake. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Central Cascade Range. Camping is available at Twin Springs Campground, obviously you could also explore Sump Lake if you're
here; it's not far at all. There are some great whitewater spots on Hills Creek, and Cupit Mary Meadow is a delightful place to stretch your legs a bit. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. If the weather is
delightful, you acquire a delightful vista of Cupit Mary Mountain from Photo Lake; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Waldo Lake Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Photo Lake while
nighttime lows are commonly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Photo Lake are in the 20's.

Winopee Lake
14 miles away Went to Winopee lake this weekend...it was a little dissapointing because the lake is about 45% covered with reeds and lilly pads. The Eastern shore is the only one you can accesst the water without having to wade through reeds. There is quite a few algae blooms so swimming isn't an option. Overall, the view was nice but not spectacular. There are three decent campsites at the lake, popular with horse camps. The best of the three sites is the one on the Eastern bank, take the first trail you come accross before reaching the junction for sno-shoe lake. The second and third campsites are on the West bank and are a little harder to find...head for the clifs and you are there....
Little Cultus Lake
15 miles away One of the best of the best small lakes i have fished, out of bend ore. Great family lake....
Davis Lake
17 miles away This website needs updating. I was there on Aug. 2nd,3rd, and 4th 2007. There are a LOT of bass there. We saw NO trout at all, and no one we talked to had caught or seen one. I was there with 2 others for bass fishing. there is no camping at the west boat launch area. Day use only. There are 2 camp sites on the east side. The Lava Flow site is closed, and has been for some time. There is a primative site there. No water or elec. and very primative boat launching area. You have to pole or row through the tules to get out on the lake. The old campground is closed because of Eagles nest there. Eagles are no longer on the endangerd spieces list. Why not re-open that area. it has a great boat ramp. Bass fishing was great, but not many large fish when we were there. Lots of smaller bass. We were told it was real good in late June and first half of July. We will try again next year....
