Petrehn Reservoir is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Emigrant Lake is a brilliant local campground, and there are other locations here than Petrehn Reservoir, for example Lomoha Reservoir. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MEDFORD-CENTRAL POINT; not far from Petrehn Reservoir you'll locate Lester James Reservoir Number 3 which is a beautiful       lake. This lake is so wonderful. What would a place like Petrehn Reservoir be without out of the ordinary nearby features like Lower Table Rock, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Red Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Molby Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at; the vista of Upper Table Rock is beautiful. Through the warm months here at Petrehn Reservoir, high temperatures generally get into the                  80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are frequently in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Petrehn Reservoir. If the weather is good here at Petrehn Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Canyon Number Three Trail. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Siskiyou Mountains. Here at Petrehn Reservoir you'll probably meet some folks from Medford, and tremendous water scenery is available at Duggan Dam close to Petrehn Reservoir. Petrehn Reservoir gets a normal amount of rain; most of the rain falls through December; July is the month with the least moisture. And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining things to do in the Siskiyou Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rogue River, and after a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn & Suites Medford is a perfect location to spend a night or two.
