This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. During the long summer days, highs usually are in the 80's at Peak Log Pond. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Peak Log Pond temperatures plunge to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful nearby hotel is       Days Inn Corvallis, and hey, Alder Creek is a perfect local stream. A great deal of precipitation falls at Peak Log Pond; December is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is July. Having a delightful time at Peak Log Pond is easy. There's so much to do here at Peak Log Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Benton Oaks RV and Campground is a fine spot for that, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always                  go whitewater paddling on Alsea River - South Fork. You're possibly addicted to lakes, Larson Log Pond is one of those close by; the smiling folks of Corvallis like to hang out nearby. That right there is a lot of cool things already but it goes on, the Coast Ranges has it all. If you need a site to stay Harrison House B&B is a nice choice; the peak of Bald Hill can be distinguished from Peak Log Pond. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Coast Ranges. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Peak Log Pond has to offer, you can camp at Corvallis Mobile Home Park.
