What a nice lake Patsy Lake is. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. Not far from Patsy Lake, you'll locate Junction Lake which is a gorgeous lake, and Hole-in-the-Wall Park is a striking place any time of year. And if that's not enough there's loads more cool things to do in the Central Cascade Range. After a long day outdoors Best Western Ponderosa Lodge is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and if the weather is delightful,
you can go for a hike along the Brush Creek Trail.
Throughout the warm days of summer at Patsy Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's, and night lows in the 20's for Patsy Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful close by hotel is Lodge at Suttle Lake, and the Jefferson Lake Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. And that's not all you

can do here at Patsy Lake. At Patsy Lake you can catch a sight of Cathedral Rocks, and Metolius River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by.
If you like skiing, you're in luck; Hoodoo is next to Patsy Lake; on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Cabot Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Trout Lake Campground is a perfect campground nearby. Lakes? Sure, Carl Lake is close by. Stay the night at Wizard Falls Campground.
Patsy Lake is a wet location that gets much precipitation; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here; July is the month with the least moisture. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more cool things to do here in the Central Cascade Range. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Lava Spring, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Marion Creek.

Jefferson Lake Trail
I just completed this trail with my German Shepherd and had a great time. We made Jefferson Lake in 4 hours, stayed the night and returned at a faster pace, making the trailhead in 3 hours. A big portion of the trail is overgrown with 5ft. tall plant life, making the trail impossible to see. I used a compass to stay on course and bushwhack for about 3 miles, then picked up the trail again. It's obvious this trail hasn't received any attention from the forest service for some time now,so plan on using your nav skills on this one. We encountered a braver-than-average black bear while encamped at Jefferson Lake, and had difficulty finding a suitable place to hang a bear bag since all the trees are limbless due to a forest fire. My dog, Sigg, is a good bear deterrant and took the night shift guarding the food bag. If you are considering this trail, start early enough so you're not walking in the dark and bring some good jungle juice (deet). Bear bells may be useful as well. Hope this helps somebody!...
