    Why not stop by Palmer Reservoir if you're passing through these parts. Not much rainfall falls here at Palmer Reservoir; November is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is September. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Blue Mountains. If the weather is great here at Palmer Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the South Prong Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Fish House Inn.
 
   This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Mountains. Blue Pot Spring is a stunning spot to visit while you're at Palmer Reservoir, and the Black Canyon Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing things the area near Palmer Reservoir has to offer. Stay the night at Pine Tree Campground, and John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is a good national park.
This lake is so wonderful. South Fork Wind Creek
 
               is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and there are other sites here than Palmer Reservoir, for example Bronco Reservoir. And if that's not enough there's plenty more amusing things to do in the Blue Mountains. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Palmer Reservoir called the Coffeepot Trail. There's so much to do here at Palmer Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Fish House Inn is a brilliant place for that. Throughout the summertime months here at Palmer Reservoir, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's, and the night is a tad colder of course, generally in the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's with temperatures at Palmer Reservoir dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
