     Owens Reservoir is regularly a rather dry location; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Summertime highs at Owens Reservoir commonly tend to be in the 90's with night lows in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Owens Reservoir are in the 30's. The Buck Point Trail offers hiking at its best; a beautiful lake like Owen Reservoir is a fine  
   spot to pop by.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Mount Ashland Trail; you'll hit upon a scenic lake called Stanley Reservoir. This lake is located in the wonderful Southern Cascade Range. After a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn And Suites Ashland is a great location to spend a night or two; during your tour here you'll meet some people from Medford for sure.

               close proximity to Owens Reservoir, and Owens Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Fish Lake Resort is a great local campground. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Southern Cascade Range. Econo Lodge Ashland is a pleasant place to get some rest, and the snow is good at Mt. Ashland. What a place this is for outdoors people. Owens Reservoir is in the vicinity of Gumbo Gulch which is undeniably worth checking out, and float down the rapids of Rogue River - North Fork in a kayak.
If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Southern Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Owens Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Medford Oaks Campark is a tremendous location for that, and Owens Reservoir is right by the Bieberstedt Trail. Owens Reservoir really is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Long Branch is a splendid local stream, and paddling on Big Butte Creek is so much fun.

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
