Take a hike on the Herman Creek Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Timberline Lodge. Hood River - West Fork is a great whitewater spot in close proximity to Ottertail Lake, and you can stay the night at Ladd                  Creek Campground.
