If you like lakes and you're in this part of Oregon you can check out Ottertail Lake. Ottertail Lake is a wet place that gets much precipitation; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You'll hit upon a gorgeous lake called Black Lake near Ottertail Lake, and you can make out Tomlike Mountain from Ottertail Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Hood River - West Fork;

| | why not head up to Mt. Hood Ski Bowl and strap some skis to your feet. At Ottertail Lake throughout the summertime highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. During the winter highs are generally in the 40's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Ottertail Lake tend to be in the 30's. enjoyable stuff in the Central Cascade Range, just unbelievable. Here at Ottertail Lake you'll possibly meet some folks from Hood River; camping is available at Wind Mountain Resort. The Lost Lake Butte Trail offers hiking at
its best. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a great little trip to Simmons Creek, and there's glorious hiking along the Herman Creek Trail. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. And that's not everything
you can do here in the Central Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Hood River - Lake Branch; hiking is a popular thing to do around Ottertail Lake; Wyeth Trail is a glorious local trail. Don't you try to stop me, cause
I'm havin' a good time here at Ottertail Lake. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Timberline Lodge, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Columbia River Inn is a good site to spend a night or two.
