You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Southern Cascade Range. There is a glorious hiking trail close to Orris Pond called the Four Mile Lake Trail. During the summer at Orris Pond temperatures are frequently in the 80's, and the overnight is a little cooler of course, commonly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows       in the 20's to Orris Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Orris Pond is not the only place close by, Norris Pond is a close by lake, and Saddle Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Orris Pond. On a brilliant day at Orris Pond you can take a hike along the Twin Ponds Trail, and Bull Swamp is a swamp in the vicinity of Orris Pond. You could also pop by Mirror Pond since you're here at Orris                  Pond; it's nearby, and you can take a little visit to Fourmile Lake Dam since you're here at Orris Pond. The Southern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. The annual rain here at Orris Pond is about average; the wettest month of the year is mostly November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July. That right there is heaps of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Southern Cascade Range has it all. Don't forget to take a good little spree to Swan Creek; the Blue Rock Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby.
