After a long day outdoors Best Western Sandy Inn is a great place to spend a night or two. Near Opal Lake you locate the Beachie Trail which is a good hiking trail, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Santiam River - North. Lake is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. There is a pleasant hiking trail in the neighborhood of Opal Lake called the Rocky Top Trail; why not camp at B and B Rentals while you're here at Opal Lake. All through the
summer months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Opal Lake while overnight lows are commonly in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; night lows during the winter for Opal Lake tend to be in the 30's.
