Sure, Cedar Lake is       right next door to Opal Lake, and since you're here at Opal Lake, checking out Dog Tooth Rock is a must. Having a great time in the Central Cascade Range is trouble-free. After a long day outdoors Best Western Sandy Inn is a great place to spend a night or two. Near Opal Lake you locate the Beachie Trail which is a good hiking trail, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Santiam River - North. Opal Lake                  mostly gets a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is December; July on the other hand is the driest. Going for a hike on the French Creek Trail is always a good adventure, and you're probably keen on lakes, Tumble Lake is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful.
