    It's always fun to stop by Opal Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is magnificent here at Opal Lake, you can go for a hike along the Sawtooth Way, and great skiing awaits you at Willamette Pass. Yeah, come here to Opal Lake for a good time. Opal Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Lucile Campground is a great local campground, and if you've had enough of Opal Lake, June Lake is nearby. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's  
   even more cool stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range. While you're here at Opal Lake you can take a hike along the Windy Pass Way; if you have time, Crater Lake National Park is a national park worth a visit.
A tremendous place to camp here at Opal Lake is Shelter Cove Resort, and Opal Lake is not the only place nearby, Timpanogas Lake is a nearby lake. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Central Cascade Range is unbeatable!. Opal Lake is
 
               a wet place that gets a good deal of precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Opal Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Cascade Range. At Opal Lake all through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Opal Lake temperatures dip to the 20's. The Timpanogas Way is a brilliant hiking trail near Opal Lake; you can run the rapids of Hills Creek.
