So many enjoyable things to do at Ollala Lake, so little time. There's some flowing water nearby, Little Depot Creek is a stream you can pop by while you're here; if you came for an overnight stay Harbor Village Trailer Park is a glorious place to camp. Ollala Dam is not far at all from Ollala Lake, and Olalla Reservoir is a glorious lake nearby. During the warm days of summer at Ollala Lake temperatures are typically in the 60's. Summer night lows drop down

| | to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are frequently in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Ollala Lake plunge into the 30's. That right there is lots of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Coast Ranges has it all. There is a glorious hiking trail close to Ollala Lake called the Horse Creek Trail, and after a long day outdoors Yaquina Bay Hotel Toledo is a great site to spend a night or two. This lake | |

is so wonderful. Why not camp at Sawyer's Landing Marina since you're here at Ollala Lake; if you need a place to stay Embarcadero Resort Hotel & Marina is a great choice. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all
the fun stuff in the Coast Ranges. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Olalla Valley Golf Course is close by, and float down the rapids of Drift Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right
time of year, Siletz River offers some great whitewater, and lakes are such serene places, why not go to Mills Riffle Reservoir. Ollala Lake is located in the Coast Ranges. Ollala Lake is a wet location that gets a large amount
of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

 | 1 PHOTO ...so shocked at how huge he was! He was the size of a small bear. At first I thought it WAS a bear but my husband said ''no, Baby, don't be scared... It's just a beaver and he wont hurt you. ''
The next morning we were making coffee and waiting for it to perk (a very slow way to make coffee) and the chipmunks were throwing pine cones at us from the tree tops and they actually hit me with one. Then they come down from the trees while we were drinking our coffee and gather up all their pine cones and cart them off. They were just the cutest little things.
That night we set up our four tiki lanterns and sit around the fire pit having some wine coolers and just enjoying each other like we love to do :) kissing and such... And all of a sudden there was some noises in the trees behind our tent.... Again I was scared that it would be a bear (the reason I am scared of bears is that when I was a kid, I saw one chase my daddy out of his shower at our camp). So anyways where was I... Oh yeah... So my husband, the cool kind macho man, goes behind the tent to investigate the issue and... |

 | 10 miles away We'll be back! We loved the location, the setting (as nice or nicer than any nearby state park), the amenities, the hosts and the other campers! We rented a boat twice and really LOVED the crabbing package. Recommend the spots closer to the river :) ... We love this campground and have used it numerous times. Good fishing, good campgrounds and the greatest hosts and employees. Close to shopping, and many things to do. Full hookups and will accomodate larger rv's.... |
