And that's not everything you can do here in the Coast Ranges. Miller Creek flows through this region. There's so much to do here at Oliver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tahkenitch Campground - Siuslaw National Forest is a brilliant site for that. All the water falling down from the sky makes Oliver Lake a wet site; the month with most of the rain is December; the driest month is July. So much exciting stuff       in the Coast Ranges, just extraordinary. A lake nearby is Garlinghouse Lake, and after a long day outdoors Corvallis Super 8 Motel is a great place to spend a night or two. Oliver Lake is not the only spot close by, Martins Lake is a close by lake; Oliver Lake is not far at all from Corvallis. If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Oliver Lake. Rodeway Inn Willamette River is a good site to get some rest; near Oliver Lake you hit upon a golf course called                  Diamond Woods Golf Course. Oliver Lake is located in the Coast Ranges. The top of Oliver Butte is easily distinguished from Oliver Lake, and there are some great whitewater spots on Marys River. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Oliver Lake has to offer, you can camp at Carter Lake - Siuslaw National Forest, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Willamette River. All through the warm months here at Oliver Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's with night lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Oliver Lake descend into the 30's.
