If you're here at Olive Lake, you could stop at East Fork West Eagle Creek; hiking along the Trail Creek Trail is magnificent fun. Granite Butte is easy to spot from Olive Lake, and an attention-grabbing thing to have a look at right next door to Olive Lake is Echo Lake Dam. All year is a glorious time in the Wallowa Mountains if you love the outdoors. If you came for       an overnight stay Main Eagle Bridge Campground is a good site to camp, and do take a hike on the Fake Creek Trail. That right there is lots already, but it keeps on going; Olive Lake has it all. A pleasant trip to West Eagle Meadow is a good way to spend an afternoon; lakes are such calm spots, why not visit Tombstone Lake. Olive Lake is ordinarily a pretty dried up location; through May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July.                  This lake is so wonderful. This lake is located in the wonderful Wallowa Mountains. At Olive Lake during the summer months highs are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Olive Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. So many entertaining things to do here in the Wallowa Mountains, too great to be true.
