A visit to Olive Lake is always a good idea. And if that's not enough there's loads more amusing stuff to do in the Wallowa Mountains. East Fork West Eagle Creek is a splendid place to have a look at, and you can go for a hike on the West Eagle Trail. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; Olive Lake has it all. Diamond Lake is a tremendous lake in the neighborhood of Olive Lake, and a pleasant trip to West Eagle Meadow is a good way to spend

| | an afternoon. This lake is so wonderful. At Olive Lake you can make out Granite Butte, and pleasant water scenery is available at Echo Lake Dam close to Olive Lake.
Good hiking is available along the Fake Creek Trail, and camping at Main Eagle Bridge Campground is always a great experience. Olive Lake is located in the Wallowa Mountains. Through the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Olive Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with
winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Olive Lake. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Wallowa Mountains. After a long day outdoors Baker City Super 8 Motel is a brilliant location
to spend a night or two. Not much rain falls here at Olive Lake; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest.
