This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Driftwood - Siuslaw National Forest, and after a long day outdoors Salbasgeon Suites is a good place to spend a night or two. At Oakshire Reservoir all through the days of summer highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and through the dark       hours in the wintertime at Oakshire Reservoir temperatures plunge to the 30's. Oakshire Reservoir gets a good deal of water; the month with most of the rain is December, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Oakshire Reservoir. Holiday Inn Express Corvallis-On The River, Or is a wonderful place to get some rest, and a glorious spot for whitewater paddling is Marys River.                  So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges, too glorious to be true. Earl Kennel Dam is not far at all from Oakshire Reservoir, and Earl Kennel Reservoir is a pleasant lake close by. Don't forget to take a fine little visit to Peterson Creek, and there are other places here than Oakshire Reservoir, for example Kester Pond. Man, is there a lot of amusing things to do in the Coast Ranges. Oakshire Reservoir is a pleasant spot to visit for more than one day, Ash Creek Mobile Park is a pleasant spot to camp nearby; Oak Hill is striking and can be observed from here.
