There's so much to do here at O A Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tombstone Prairie Campground is a great location for that. For the period of the long summer days here at O A Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and nighttime       lows at O A Lake during the winter typically descend into the 30's. O A Lake generally gets a large amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls through December; July meanwhile is the driest month. So much fun stuff in the Central Cascade Range, just unbelievable. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Hoodoo, and the panorama of Turpentine Peak is pretty. Any time is a great time at O A Lake if you love the outdoors. A lake close by is Pine Ridge Lake, and splendid                  hiking is available along the Duffy Lake Trail. Going for a hike on the Pine Ridge Trail is always a perfect adventure; a short spree to Gooch Falls is always worthwhile. You can run the rapids of Marion Creek near O A Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Central Cascade Range. A great site for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of O A Lake is Santiam River - North, and O A Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Country Star Recreational Vehicle Park is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Suttle Lake; O A Lake is not the only site nearby, Pinet Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Moon Creek, and you can go for a hike on the Turpentine Peak Trail.
