It's always fun to stop by Newport Reservoir. Much precipitation falls at Newport Reservoir; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the months of summer highs here at Newport Reservoir get into the 60's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. | | 30's. City Center Trailer Park is a glorious local campground, and don't leave Newport Reservoir without first paying a visit to Martin Falls. This lake is so wonderful. Harbor Village Trailer Park is a pleasant campground nearby; a great beach nearby is Moolack Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Number 2 is a good lake close to Newport Reservoir, and McLean Point is very near and is a great place to stop by. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is bountiful here in the Coast Ranges. If you don't mind getting wet, you
can always go whitewater paddling on Siletz River, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Agate Beach Inn is a fine choice. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even
more entertaining stuff to do here at Newport Reservoir. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Agate Beach Golf Course, and a delightful lake like Cold Springs Reservoir is a splendid place to pop by.
The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Coast Ranges. Anderson Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out, and the Horse Creek Trail offers hiking
at its best. A great place for whitewater paddling close to Newport Reservoir is Drift Creek; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites NEWPORT.

Beverly Beach State Park
 | 1 PHOTO ...the forrest. We were so shocked at how huge he was! He was the size of a small bear. At first I thought it WAS a bear but my husband said ''no, Baby, don't be scared... It's just a beaver and he wont hurt you. ''
The next morning we were making coffee and waiting for it to perk (a very slow way to make coffee) and the chipmunks were throwing pine cones at us from the tree tops and they actually hit me with one. Then they come down from the trees while we were drinking our coffee and gather up all their pine cones and cart them off. They were just the cutest little things.
That night we set up our four tiki lanterns and sit around the fire pit having some wine coolers and just enjoying each other like we love to do :) kissing and such... And all of a sudden there was some noises in the trees behind our tent.... Again I was scared that it would be a bear (the reason I am scared of bears is that when I was a kid, I saw one chase my daddy out of his shower at our camp). So anyways where was I... Oh yeah... So my husband, the cool kind macho man, goes behind the tent to inve... |

 | 11 miles away We'll be back! We loved the location, the setting (as nice or nicer than any nearby state park), the amenities, the hosts and the other campers! We rented a boat twice and really LOVED the crabbing package. Recommend the spots closer to the river :) ... We love this campground and have used it numerous times. Good fishing, good campgrounds and the greatest hosts and employees. Close to shopping, and many things to do. Full hookups and will accomodate larger rv's.... |
