These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing things to do in the Wallowa Mountains. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wallowa Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Snake River, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Hells Canyon Reservoir. Needham Pond gets very little rainfall; December is       when you get the most snow here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Going for a hike on the Red Ledge Trail is always a splendid adventure. Lakes are great; Dead Horse Lake is a lake that's near Needham Pond. And that's not all you can do here at Needham Pond. Looking for some flowing water? Try Balter Creek; Needham Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Vermillion Bar Campground is a wonderful local campground.
