The beauty of Needham Pond is reason enough to stop by. Summer at Needham Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 30's with temperatures at Needham Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Hiking along the Summit Creek Trail is glorious fun; a tremendous nearby hotel is Best Western Rama Inn & Suites. That right there is a heap of cool things already but

| | it goes on, the Wallowa Mountains has it all. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Snake River, and going for a hike along the Western Rim National Recreation Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
This lake is so wonderful. Some close by water includes Balter Creek, and if you came to camp Dove Creek Campground is a nice place to do that. While you're here at Needham Pond you can take a hike | |

along the Red Ledge Trail. There's so much to do here at Needham Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Vermillion Bar Campground is a fine spot for that. Needham Pond is frequently a rather waterless place; December is when
you get the most snow here, and July is the month with the least moisture.
If only every spot had this much outdoors cool things, what a great earth it would be. Needham Pond is one of the lakes here in the Wallowa Mountains.
