This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. And that's not all you can do here at Navaho Lake. Pillar Peak is a peak you can see from Navaho Lake, and Willamette Pass has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff.
All year is a magnificent time in the Central Cascade Range if you adore the outdoors. Get dripping wet paddling on Deschutes River, and camping is available at Upper Campground. So much exciting

stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too delightful to be true. If the weather is good here at Navaho Lake, you can go for a hike along the Snowshoe Lake Trail, and you can hit the slopes at Mt. Bachelor in close proximity. Camping at East Lake Resort and RV Parks is always a delightful experience, and float down the rapids of Horse Creek in a kayak.
For the period of the summer highs here at Navaho Lake get into the 80's, and the overnight is slightly

chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows at Navaho Lake all through the winter usually dip into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. The Cultus Lake Trail is a splendid hiking trail close to Navaho Lake. Lakes are splendid; Lodgepole Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Navaho Lake. While you're here at Navaho Lake you can take a hike along the Winopee Lake Trail; you're almost certainly into lakes, Merle Lake is one of those close by.
The high level of rainfall makes Navaho Lake a relatively wet place; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July meanwhile is the driest month.

Winopee Lake
Went to Winopee lake this weekend...it was a little dissapointing because the lake is about 45% covered with reeds and lilly pads. The Eastern shore is the only one you can accesst the water without having to wade through reeds. There is quite a few algae blooms so swimming isn't an option. Overall, the view was nice but not spectacular. There are three decent campsites at the lake, popular with horse camps. The best of the three sites is the one on the Eastern bank, take the first trail you come accross before reaching the junction for sno-shoe lake. The second and third campsites are on the West bank and are a little harder to find...head for the clifs and you are there....

Davis Lake
11 miles away
This website needs updating. I was there on Aug. 2nd,3rd, and 4th 2007. There are a LOT of bass there. We saw NO trout at all, and no one we talked to had caught or seen one. I was there with 2 others for bass fishing. there is no camping at the west boat launch area. Day use only. There are 2 camp sites on the east side. The Lava Flow site is closed, and has been for some time. There is a primative site there. No water or elec. and very primative boat launching area. You have to pole or row through the tules to get out on the lake. The old campground is closed because of Eagles nest there. Eagles are no longer on the endangerd spieces list. Why not re-open that area. it has a great boat ramp. Bass fishing was great, but not many large fish when we were there. Lots of smaller bass. We were told it was real good in late June and first half of July. We will try again next year....
